Because the Helene DiStefano Fund is designed to help women and their families, the volunteer opportunities are very personal. There are five categories where volunteer assistance is needed: Fundraising, Annual Luncheon, Silent Auction, Moms Helping Moms and overall event planning.


This opportunity is very important and necessary for the success of the Helene DiStefano Fund. We do three annual events and several smaller fundraisers throughout the year. All fundraisers require volunteers to help with the planning and implementing of the programs. Please contact us if you are interested in becoming a volunteer.

Annual Luncheon

Our annual luncheon is an opportunity to gather a large group of possible donors and volunteers. Many volunteers are needed to obtain corporate sponsors and table hosts, gather door prizes, decorate and be present for support on the day of the event. This luncheon is an excellent way to increase awareness of friends and co-workers.

This year's Luncheon will be on April 2, 2009 at Noon at the Chattanoogan. Tables are available now for corporate: $1000; table host $700; and individual seats for $50. Please e-mail to reserve your table!

Lunch with the Lookouts

This is an event for the entire family.  Come out to the ball field and enjoy a lunch with the Chattanooga Lookouts.  For $15 a person you can have your picture made, eat lunch and meet the Lookouts players and coaches.  This is an opportunity to meet them one-on-one.

Silent Auction

Every year we hold a silent auction in the fall. This year is no exception. Mark your calendar for October 26, 2007 at Lexus of Chattanooga at 7:00pm. We are making our silent auction bigger and better this year by including a LIVE AUCTION. This is going to be a very fun event, so keep your eyes posted to the website to see how you can participate!

Golf Tournament

Please join the Helene DiStefano Fund at the third annual HDF Golf Tournament at Black Creek Golf Course. The tournament will take place on June 1, 2009. Registration will begin at 10:30 a.m.; 11:30 a.m. lunch and a 1:00 p.m. shotgun start. The format will be select drive. It is $250 a person which includes green fees, cart, tee prizes, lunch, refreshments, dinner and an $80 credit for the Titlelist and Foot Joy merchandise tent. Mulligans will be available for purchase the day of the event for $20 (2 for each side).

We are still looking for sponsors for the tournament. If you are interested in helping local mothers with cancer, you could be a platinum $5000 sponsor, gold $2500 sponsor or a $100 hole sponsor. Guitars and Stars

This is a benefit concert that will be held in early October 2009. Last year's acts were Luke Bryan, Jamie Johnson, Colt Ford and the Zac Brown Band.
